Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the Seymour Football Netball Club Inc. will be held as follows:

• Location: The Seymour Club

Business of the Meeting

The sole business of this meeting is to consider and, if thought fit, pass a Special Resolution to update the Club’s Constitution. An agenda is available here.

Special Resolution

The following motion will be proposed as a Special Resolution:

"That the current constitution of the Seymour Football Netball Club Inc. be revoked in its entirety and that the Model Rules of the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Vic) be adopted as the new constitution of the Association, effective from the date of approval by the Registrar."

Reason for the Change

The Club’s current rules were established under previous legislation. To ensure the Seymour Football Netball Club remains compliant with the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Vic) and to simplify our governance, the Executive Committee recommends adopting the Model Rules provided by Consumer Affairs Victoria, with minor modifications made by the Executive.

Requirement: For this resolution to pass, it must be supported by at least 75% of members present and voting at the meeting.
