Second best on (CWM): Charlie Carmichael; hard and tough around the footy. Allowed us to get on top in the midfield.
Third Best (Canteen Award): Taiten Thomas; our captain played another selfless role by tagging one of Mansfield's better players and did so with success. Tough as nails.
Fourth Best (Thursday Night Dinner): Rory Kennedy; unstoppable all day. Had a great work rate that made him a very hard match up for the opposition defenders.

The Reserves continued their strong run of form with a thumping 11 goal win over Mansfield on Saturday.
The Lions jumped out of the blocks but failed to put the Eagles away in the first half. In the third quarter it was a different story as Mansfield were kept scoreless and the Lions kicked eight second half goals.
Jules Morgan continues to climb his way up the goal kicking charts with another four goals and was supported further up the ground by the hard work of Max McLean, Clayton Salmon, Cain Murray and Coach Nick Dundon.

The Lions were pumped for a big game against Mansfield, welcoming Dave Mundy back in for his third game of the season as well as James Wooster and Ben Cooney from long term injuries. Nic Quigg donned the jumper for the first time the season after getting plenty of VFL games under his belt and showed his class across the day.
The Lions got out of the blocks a little slowly with some inaccurate kicking putting pressure on the boys to come back after quarter time and put the Eagles on the back foot.
The second quarter saw the Lions open up a lead with Mundy getting amongst the contest and Tom Maloney putting in plenty of work at the coalface.
An even third quarter saw the game in the balance before the Lions kicked away in the last.
Riley Mason played another dominant game, proving too much to handle for Mansfield’s defence, finishing with six goals.
Back to back wins for the Seniors for the first time this season and they’ll be looking to keep the streak going against the Swans at home this week.
